Inventure strengthens Investment and Expansion team

This fall we’ve further strengthened our team at Inventure, adding to our skills in both investments and expansion operations. Welcome aboard Kevin and Greg! 

Kevin Lösch
Investment Associate

Prior to joining Inventure, Kevin spent two years as an investment banker at Macquarie Capital in Germany, accompanying various M&A and IPO related transactions and projects that have given him a solid background in Healthcare and Tech. As the exit market continues to heat up, Kevin adds his M&A experience to our knowledge on how to guide and prepare our portfolio companies to strong exit opportunities. 

But don’t let that give you the impression that Kevin is focused on later-stage operations. Kevin offers keen early-stage analysis and quickly plugged into the local startup scene. Despite moving to Helsinki from Germany in July, he somehow already seemed to know everyone at his first nordic tech conference, TechBBQ. Kevin will be a VC to watch in the Nordics and Baltics. 

As a keen sports enthusiast, a good way to start up a conversation is around sports news. And as someone incredibly passionate about the founders he meets, he’ll move the ball for you.

Greg Anderson

We first met Greg in the early 2010’s when he was ArcticStartup’s Editor in Chief, taking over after founder Antti Vilpponen left to run our portfolio company, UpCloud. After writing over 1500 articles on the Nordic and Baltic startup scene (including plenty of Inventure updates) he ran Creandum’s Communications and Marketing for four years, helping their portfolio companies with news announcements and strengthened their brand through their blog and CEO Summits. 

At Inventure he further strengthens our expansion team, which includes Andrea Di Pietrantonio as our Portfolio Operations Director and Ryan Savage, our Head of Talent. As a hands-on VC, we take pride in helping our portfolio with tangible results in talent and expansion, and that includes helping our portfolio benchmark on best practices for customer acquisition and proactively push our portfolio in the media.

With over 70 investments centered in the Nordics and Baltics, Inventure is one of the region’s most experienced VC firms. Our strategy is to get in early: typically we are the first institutional investor in our portfolio, and we back our founders as late as we can. 

Wolt is one easy example of our model. We were the first institutional investor back when the market already felt overrun with German delivery startups, and there were some real rough spots as the company expanded into new markets.
